UNMASKING SONIA ANTONIA MAINO by S.Gurumurthy

Guys am very much proud to present u the article about the secrets of " our modern bharat mata" by India's most respected Author published in New Indian Express.

But, she became loyal to India a trifle late, by 16 years!

"Today, my loyalty embraces a wider family — India, my country, whose people have so generously welcomed me to become one of them." This is Sonia Gandhi addressing the University of Tilburg in the Netherlands on June 11, 2007. It is true that the people of India who were always in awe of the Nehru-Indira family — more, who, thanks to their colonial hangover, loved things and people foreign — welcomed the Italian-born Antonia Maino, now Sonia, into the nation’s first family.

The people of any other country, including the country from which Sonia hails, would have seriously objected to a foreigner in the house of the rulers. Yes, she is right. The people of India were extraordinarily generous to her and welcomed Sonia the unknown, the stranger, without knowing anything about her. But how about her claim of loyalty to them in return? How loyally did she respond to the generosity of the ordinary and unsuspecting people of India, that she now so generously acknowledges?

The chronology dating back to 1968 when, many reading newspapers today, who must have been lying on the lap of their mothers. The chronology brings out what she did in response to the people of India, who she herself acknowledges, so generously welcomed her to become part of them. It shows that from the outset she had decided not to become part of them and remained so for 16 years. Her determination to marry Rajiv Gandhi and enter the Nehru family was equalled by her determination not to become an Indian citizen! She was bent on continuing to remain and remained an Italian and a foreigner in India, not for a while or a year or couple of years testing the waters in India, but, for 16 long years — yes sixteen long years — from 1968 to 1984!

It was not that in her blissful merger into the Nehru-Indira family and deluged by affection of the people around her, she forgot all about the technicality of acquiring Indian citizenship. It was not a case of just an accidental omission to apply for citizenship. From day one she was determined not to apply to become an Indian. She consciously chose to remain a foreigner and retain her Italian nationality and passport. The Indian law on foreigners required her to apply for and get permission to stay in India as a foreigner and this she had to do every five years.

Determined to live in India and in the Prime Minister’s house as a foreigner, she dutifully applied every six years — first in 1968, afterwards in 1973, thereafter in 1978 and finally in 1983 — for permission to reside in India! So she was just a guest, not part, of Indians for 16 years. She must have decided to remain a foreigner in India even earlier, as she knew long before 1968 that she was to marry Rajiv Gandhi and would have to come and reside in India. Sonia finally applied for Indian citizenship in 1983 and got it in 1984, on April 30 to be precise.

Why did Sonia suddenly, and after 16 years, aspire to become an Indian and positively respond to the generosity of the Indians in welcoming her? Any one who knew a little of politics also knew that Rajiv, who became the general secretary of the Congress party after the accidental demise of Sanjay in 1980, was set to become the Number 2 to Indira Gandhi in the government after the elections in early 1985. He could never have become a Minister under Indira with a foreigner as his spouse. This is what forced Sonia to acquiesce to become an Indian.

Thus it is not the love of India or the generous Indians who welcomed her that made her to give up her Italian citizenship, but, the real reason was the prospect of her husband ascending to power, which means herself in power! Yet she tells the Amsterdam audience that power never attracted her. She would never tell the truth that she did not want to become an Indian for 16 years and remained a foreigner in India. She would never tell that, even when she applied for Indian citizenship, she applied only as Antonia Maino Gandhi, with Sonia as just a pseudonym.

She would never tell that Rahul and Priyanka were under the Italian nationality law, Italian nationals by birth and thus even now Italian nationality inheres in them inalienably. She would not tell these truths. Had she told these truths, she could not have spoken what she spoke at Tilburg University. Yet, what she spoke remains the truth on record, while what she did not speak is the real truth. So what she spoke in Amsterdam is something other than truth. QED: the sense of loyalty to India which she claims came a trifle late, by 16 years!

Time to show our fist!

What do we do if a cockroach or a scorpion enters our house? we do not make it our pet, instead we just kill it. Likewise we have some pests entering our country. And now i want to clean it!
But who am I?
hmm,I am just a stupid common man who is wanting to clean his house, I mean country. I am someone who is afraid to get into a bus or train these days. I am someone whose wife and mom pray on every time I step out of my house as like I am going for a war, while I am actually going to my work! She is afraid that I might not return, she calls every two hours to find if I had my tea, if I had my lunch. But actually she wants to find out whether I am still alive.
I am someone who sometimes gets stuck in a rain or in a blast. I am someone who suspects the person carrying a rosary. I am someone who suspects any abandoned luggage or any beard man in bus stop. If I open a shop am afraid to choose a god’s name, as someone might burn it during any communal riot. No matter which two parties fighting, I am the first one to be killed. Am very much true, this is the current scenario in our country. Everyone is feeling insecure these days,to step out of the house. Do you want to live a life and die every moment of it in fear? They will keep on killing us until we learn to give a solid reply! We the INDIANS ARE RESILIENT BY FORCE, NOT BY CHOICE! Do you think those people called "terrorists" who kill us are wiser than us? Just type “bomb” in any Internet searches and you will get, hundreds of websites showing you how to make them. All the information is accessible and that too for free!
The problem with us is that we got used to all these atrocities. If one bomb blasts occurs say recent Mumbai blasts, we watch it on all the news channels. We send SMSs and we call up people and find whether they are safe and become happy if they are safe. Then, instead of fighting against the situation we start to adjust with it. Ya it is true we have our compulsions; we have to maintain a family but that is why we appoint a government to run this nation, believing that they will carry out this pest control. But do you think this government doing this job effectively? Certainly not. Instead they are just supporting their cause by not doing anything stringent. This government do want to make the whole country into Kashmir, where bomb blast is as common as Kashmir roses. Remember how many convicts are still happily alive, in spite of courts judgment to hang them. Why is this government not kicking them in the butt? It takes at least 10 years to prove a person guilty. Don’t you think this is a question mark on this government’s ability? All this should stop. This whole bloody system is flawed. Tell this useless government in a single voice “If you don’t clean up this mess, then we the common man will have to do something about it”.
Moreover I feel bomb blast happened in Mumbai, Ahmadabad, Delhi, so on.. are not just a terrorist activity, but it was a question. The question was ,we are going to keep killing you and what can you do? Yes they have asked us this question. It is just left to us how and when we are going to respond to this simple question. All these may look like a movie dialogue but I feel it is true. And these are very much relevant to the current Indian political scenario. People! we need someone, some leader to take bold steps in the future at least, who won’t hesitate to hang a convict, irrespective of his religion and minority, majority, vote bank politics. All we need is this, at least next year when our child goes out; he should travel without fear on buses, trains or anywhere else.
Enough Indians! Wake up, enough sleeping for 60 years under one inefficient government. We are not just a common man anymore or at least for next couple of months. So don’t just eat, live and die like a common man. The election has come. And we got a wand, to change your future, my future and fortune of this sacred mother nation. I very much hope that the wand in our hands will also teach this inefficient UPA government a hard lesson. So let us bring a change in our political system and governance to bring back the golden age of safe and respectful India with a determined leader and decisive government!
So It is a high time to ignore the "hand" which was covering our eyes for the past 60years, and take the flowers to make our country blossom like a "lotus"!
SO THESE ARE MY COGITATIONS DUTIFULLY RECORDED.
HOPE U LEAVE ME A COMMENT WITHOUT FAIL!
Jai Hind.

Remember the golden days!

After writing two blogs on the current political scenario in India, I was searching for a topic sans politics.
Last week I attended a conference arranged by a Hindu organization. (As an active member of that organization I never fail to participate in such activities). There, I was fortunate enough to have a thought provoking conversation with a RSS kar sevak, who was sitting beside me. It was a wonderful experience and I came to know about the dreams those real architects of Indian independence” have for this nation!
He was much worried about a culture which is getting destroyed day by day (No No am not talking about endangered Indian culture here, cos we very well know that it is of no use debating that topic in a country where even the government kicks of the campaign “Pub bharoLOL in a country where literacy rate is still under 60 %). Anyway coming back to our topic , here am talking about a culture which is essential, which is our lifeline I can say. hmm without which, no Hindus no Christians no Muslims can live even! The culture am talking about is nothing other than “AGRI-culture”. Yes, in a country where the Agriculture is the backbone of economy.. it is under great threat now.

I guess I don’t need to Google and show u the statistics on diminishing agriculture in our nation. We all see those impacts even in our daily life – The price of Rice (the primary stable crop of India) wheat and pulses has doubled in the past few years. The reason? “Ignorance or unawareness” I should say. This is a matter of great concern if not of shame. (We) the youngsters of today are not aware of any agricultural matters. Their intelligence and knowledge of so many subjects should not be an excuse or explanation for this poor stance. A modern day boy could not tell the difference between paddy and rice. But he can easily lecture on the plus and minus points of a Boeing and Airbus! This lack of knowledge on agriculture is even considered perfectly normal today. Some minds of “immediate gains” may argue that it is neither going to help in career prospects nor show him ways of prosperity. They may even add that it is better to fore go something like Agriculture which is not suitable anymore for living. Lets other stick to it and let us go and seek our fortune elsewhere( obviously Engg and IT)
These kind of arguments may even look fair and convincing for some of us, but looking at things with immediate gains in mind will only lead to such conclusions! Making money is must, earning fortunes is alright, Getting into new avenues is welcome. But I feel Agriculture is one of such subject which goes beyond profession. I repeat “Agriculture is one of subject which goes beyond profession”. If this scenario continues can you imagine what our next generation going to have for lunch? We all work and earn for “bread and butter” but how you really make bread and butter without crops?

I feel you -me- everyone is responsible for this crisis, we have totally abandoned the Agriculture. It was once our privilege and pleasure to hold and cultivate lands. It has something to do with tradition. Land was a symbol and emblem of elite, I can say. Apart from earnings, eating the grains cultivated from our own lands was a special and exclusive honor blessed only to some fortunate people. Moreover in the past, lands were the gifts given by the kings to Brahmins to make them live and settle in their kingdom. (According to shastras- Brahmins will never depend on anybody even on king. They cultivate their own grain and eat) But even they have brushed off Agriculture.
So we have by large, abandoned our primary or prescribed occupations. For various reasons, we have taken different occupations and diverse way of life kicking the agriculture, unaware of the consequences.
My earnest wish is to make some connection between past and present in the field of agriculture. If it is not possible to be a farmer, its okay. But that should not drive us totally from agriculture. Some bold measure has to be taken to save Agriculture and farmers, after all we are directly connected to it while we open our lunch box everyday. So i feel we should keep some identification and residuals to 'remember the old Golden Days' where our ancestors were farming and never ignore this culture!
Please have a thought on, what can be done to promote Agriculture in India!
I feel Indian corporates like TATA, Reliance must come forward, buy large hectares of land, invest and introduce new technology in this field thereby bringing another Indian green revolution. What you say?

Can Politics win over Education?

Colleges closed, Buses torched, Shops and offices attacked, bandhs, people immolated and assaulted. Am not talking here about the happenings in Sri Lanka , this is the current situation in Tamil Nadu! These are new cheap stunts performed by the ruling government in TN , in the name of saving the Tamil people though the war against LTTE is almost over. Government has asked all colleges in Tamil Nadu shut down for indefinite period. What’s the connection between Lankan war and 2nd yr B.tech Subramanian? This shows the real face of the political party, which is to keep people off from education, keep them illiterate and win votes! If the government is really interested in helping the Lankan Tamils why should they agitate here in Tamilnadu, when we have enough problems here already? If the government genuinely feel the guardianship for innocent Tamils do they have guts to form this human chain in the War zone (as they say 'we r ready to sacrifice for Tamils)? Nothing will happen holding banners in Mount road and holding the education of innocent students. What right does a 4 yr term government have to shut the educational institutions. Is this is the way to protest? If the government want to shut something (let them shut their mouth) why can’t they shut their party offices and show their concern. After Temples and churches educational institutions have become the next soft target for politicians. Pity politicians not aware that they will bite the sand if the students turnabout! These cheap opportunist politicians don’t know about the effect that the indefinite closure declared by the TN government will have on their academic schedules. Being a BE grad, I know how the teachers will have to race against time to complete the syllabus (will even be forced to conduct classes on holidays and weekends to make up) and in this short term how clueless students going to clamber this semester exams. Finally students (people) are the victims, sufferers and losers. Students wake up, you are used as the scapegoat by this barbaric politicians. The elections are not far away!
As far as Central Government is concerned, I feel they have no moral right to advise Sri Lanka when they are not capable of solving the inland Kashmir problem and when the genocide of innocent people continuing for decades!

When Indian government shows concerns, then this War on LTTE becomes an international issue! So when Barrack Obama can think of deputing a special envoy to Kashmir, why won’t he arrange someone for Sri Lanka and solve the Tamils' problem ? Why is savior Obama who give sermons about democracy mouth shut in this issue ?

So students it’s time to teach a hard lesson to the politicians who are trying to restrain you and your education. Never allow politicians win over your education and career.

So these are my very few COGITATIONS DUTIFULLY RECORDED and
Waiting impatiently for your valuable comments:)

LOOK BEFORE YOU "VOTE"!

Hi Friends, Welcome to my first blog!
Well, the Election commission of India has announced tentative dates for the Indian general elections (Lok Sabha) as April 8th 2009.Since the dates are just three months away, and the main political parties are gearing up for the polls with announcements of list of candidates.

For the next two months we will see some strangeness in the ruling UPA government. After 4 yrs we will become visible to govt. To justify my statement..the ruling Congress government has already started its vote bank politics. As soon as the election dates were announced..they started giving all kind of sops to the people of India which they were doing very well for the past 60 years and mesmerising poor people! Oh gosh..60 years they were in power and still India starving in every development sector . I know development is a slow process, but 60 yrs ON and still people suffering. Anyway, its up to the Indian voters to wake up now .

For the sake of our country and our development, i plead u to think well before you vote!

LOOK BEFORE U VOTE

  1. Firstly,
Never allow Regional issues to decide your Lok sabha vote!

  2. Never see whether the fuel prices and daily needs have become cheaper, its always better to look whether infrastructures are developed! (fuel prices are unstable, of course u know good roads means good fuel efficiency )

  3. Look whether the leader u are going to vote..is real LEADER..who’s word is final in his party!

  4. Look whether the Govt can take bold steps (even risking the relationship with the west)on nation's interest! (Eg: War against well known terror outfits)

  5. Remember how many huge scams were suppressed! …like to name few in this ruling UPA government.. Tainted ministers, Bribe during no-confidence motion,Quattrochi extradition, Natwar Singh’s Oil for Food scam,Proved multi crore scam in Telecom ministry

  6. Beware of the party like Congress..which thinks "fight against terrorism is fight against the Islam"! Thats why vital laws like POTA were scrapped, here UPA Govt play minority politics! They are the real culprits who relate terrorism with single religion( Islam). Is favouring Islam and discounting Hindus is called secular in India? Government arranges free transport(A/C buses) till their homes for all the Hujj returns, but do Hindus get same treatment during Kasi return?

  7. Look whether the party’s Ideology is same all over the country, not like Congress which has great ties with left in one state and oppose leftism at the center while opposing LTTE at the center but support LTTE friendly govt in the state!

  8. Beware of the Party who hate their opposition parties! You would have seen the recent Manglore pub incident, where some indecorous girls hit by a mob for smoking & drinking liquor in the bar. Is this incident unusual in India? Every month this kind of(even worse) incidents happens in Mumbai. Did this Congress government ever took notice of those in the past four years? The reason to pressure and accuse Karnataka government is simple, Cos it is headed by BJP.

  9. Just before pressing the ballot button, think whether u can remember at least four proud moments of our country in the past four years ! (I CAN'T remember any except cricket but very well remember 17 MAJOR BOMB BLASTS Killing 1000's of innocent voters)
  10. Look for the government which handles terrorism mercilessly. Hope you all still remember Afzal Guru! the master mind behind Parliament attack. The so called Supreme court of India has already given him death sentence but still he is happily alive. Many martyrs who laid their lives while capturing him, have been fooled by the UPA! The reason for Afzal's mercy? Simple, he is Afzal Guru, not Ram Guru or Laxman Guru. Again UPA plays minority politics and vote bank politics!
  11. Why accuse Pakistan all time?( nothing has changed accusing them for the past 50 yrs) Dont u think 26/11 terror was a serious lapse by the intelligence agencies headed by this ineffecient UPA government?

  12. Final but important… look whether the party you going to vote for is headed by an INDIAN blood. After all its our Mother nation!

So these are my very few COGITATIONS DUTIFULLY RECORDED and

Waiting impatiently for your valuable comments:)

Jai Ho INDIA! Jai Hind!
